何から、書けばよいのか、いろんな想いが、交錯し。

住宅相談があり、出張した。

クライアントは、同級生。

大学卒業から、ほぼ２０年。

彼とは、大学の寮で知り合った。

関西大学　北斗寮。

今は、もうない。

ここで暮らす４年間が、その後20年やってきた大きな基礎となったことは、お互い間違いない。

そのころの記憶は、鮮明すぎて、いつになってもセピア色になることはない。

テリー、ドリーの話から始まり、１回生から４回生の4人部屋。

電話当番があり、ピンクの『お』電話があった、シビスの１Ｌ缶のビールと、菓子をあてに飲み明かした話、お握り屋ＪＵＮＫＯ、寮祭、寮祭のオオトラ、御飯時になれば、皆誘い合い、皆で食事、風呂の時間になれば、踊り場に集合し、皆で風呂…

生きたくても、それができなかったかけがえのない友。

語り始めると、止まらず。

あのころ、物干しと化した寮の３階踊り場で、洗濯物に混ざり、ひとり製図版を広げ、将来を夢みながらこなした製図課題。

友をクライアントにして、住宅相談させていただく。

もう、こんな幸せはないであろう。

I have mixed thoughts about what I should start writing about.

I had a housing consultation and went on a business trip.

Clients are classmates.

It’s been almost 20 years since I graduated from university.

I met him in my university dormitory.

Kansai University Hokuto Dormitory.

Now it’s gone.

There is no doubt that the four years we lived here laid the foundation for what we would do for the next 20 years.

My memories of those days are so vivid that they never turn sepia-toned

It begins with the story of Terry and Dolly, and the room is filled with four people, from first to fourth year students.

I was on call duty, and there was a pink “o” phone. I drank a 1L can of Civis beer and snacks all night long. I went to the rice ball shop JUNKO, the dormitory festival, Otora at the dormitory festival, and when it was time for dinner, everyone was invited. We all meet, eat together, and when it’s time to take a bath, we gather on the landing and take a bath together..

An irreplaceable friend who wanted to live but couldn’t.

Once I started talking, I couldn’t stop.

Back then, on the third-floor landing of the dormitory, which had been turned into a clothesline, I was alone among the laundry, unrolling my drafting board, and dreaming of the future as I completed my drafting tasks.

I will turn my friend into a client and provide housing consultation.

I will never be this happy again.
